The Aerospace Complex City is a self-sustaining city centered on the functions of the aerospace industry, integrating administrative complexes, industrial zones, residential areas, and commercial and tourism facilities.
The project aims to create the Aerospace Complex City in the area surrounding the location of the Aerospace Administration, maximizing synergy through the integration of administration, industry, and residential facilities, and securing international competitiveness.
While Sacheon City is making various efforts to pass the bill, special bills proposed by lawmakers Seo Chunho and Park Daecheol in May and June respectively are currently under review after being submitted to the relevant committee on August 21.
If approved by the standing committee, the bill will be reviewed by the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, then submitted to the plenary session. If passed by the plenary, it will be sent to the government for promulgation.
Meanwhile, it is known that on this day, National Assembly member Yoon Youngseok requested the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to review the special bill for the Aerospace Complex City at the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee.
Mayor Park stated, "The construction of the Aerospace Complex City is an essential task not only for the development of Sacheon City but also for South Korea to achieve a third miracle through the aerospace industry," and earnestly requested, "I sincerely ask the government and the National Assembly to work together so that this bill can be passed."
