He said, "This is the second time we are welcoming a Senate delegation following last year," and added, "I am grateful for the great interest shown in SK and Korean companies’ activities." Last October, Choi also met with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and other senators to discuss economic cooperation measures.
Choi then introduced SK Group’s key businesses such as semiconductors and energy, emphasizing SK’s comprehensive contribution to the development of both countries. He stated, "SK Group is building a semiconductor ecosystem in both Korea and the U.S.," adding, "Through this, we can also contribute to strengthening AI leadership in both countries."
He further emphasized, "SK’s energy business is also growing on a global scale, and the energy sector, including batteries, is very important not only economically but also from a security perspective."
The U.S. senators also expressed their hope for continued cooperation between the two countries in various fields. They said, "The relationship between the two countries has built strong trust across all areas, including the Korea-U.S. alliance," and "The role of Korean companies, including SK, is increasingly significant in the development of both countries."
They added, "This movement will greatly contribute not only to the joint development of Korea and the U.S. but also to the trilateral cooperation among Korea, the U.S., and Japan, as well as global prosperity," and emphasized, "We will continue to support SK’s activities going forward."
