Uiryeong County Holds 3rd Safety Management Committee for Local Festival
Four Cases Reviewed Including Uiryeong Richirichi Festival
Uiryeong County in Gyeongnam held the 3rd Safety Management Committee at the Disaster Comprehensive Situation Room to review the safety management plans for four local festivals, including the 3rd Uiryeong RichiRichi Festival.
The Safety Management Committee, held on the 2nd, was attended by 10 members, including heads of related organizations such as Uiryeong Fire Station and Uiryeong Police Station, as well as other officials. The agenda proceeded in the following order: '2024 Uiryeong Sinbeon Culture Festival', '19th Chuseok Uiryeong Folk Cow Wrestling Competition', '3rd Uiryeong RichiRichi Festival', and '12th Uiryeong Toyoae Agricultural Specialty Festival'.

During the review, the committee discussed matters related to the overall festivals, such as predicting the number of attendees, understanding movement lines, planning the deployment of safety personnel, emergency response measures, and safety measures for each risk area. They also ordered that the supplementary points raised during the review process be thoroughly examined and reflected in the plans.
Oh Taewan, the head of the Safety Management Committee and County Governor, stated, "With local festivals scheduled consecutively from this week through October, I hope you will thoroughly check for any shortcomings through the review and inspection of these festivals," and added, "I ask everyone to do their utmost in safety management until the end so that we can have enjoyable and safe festivals through close cooperation with related organizations."
