Samsung Electro-Mechanics Logistics, responsible for the installation and logistics of Samsung Electronics products, has been recognized for its industrial accident prevention capabilities. It received an international standard certification from a government-affiliated institution.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics Logistics announced on the 3rd that it obtained the 'ISO 45001' certification for the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, an international standard overseen by the Korea Standards Association under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
ISO 45001 is an international standard for occupational health and safety management established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is awarded to companies that have a systematic management system to efficiently prevent industrial accidents and create a safe working environment.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics Logistics was recognized for its efforts to create a safe working environment, including establishing and disseminating occupational health and safety management policies, assessing and improving worker risks, and fostering a safety-centered organizational culture.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics Logistics stated that based on the management policy of "Safety and environment as the first principle of management," it has strived to provide high-quality services in a safe working environment. The company emphasized its focus on identifying and improving potential accident factors that may occur during work in advance.
Since 2017, it has established standards and management systems for wearing personal protective equipment such as safety belts and helmets to prevent fall accidents that may occur during air conditioner installation.
Since 2022, it has been using a self-produced jig to prevent workers from falling or bumping into objects when delivering large 98-inch TVs.
