Kumho Construction announced on the 2nd that it has won the contract for a sewage treatment facility project in Cambodia.

View original imageThis project is part of the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) provided by the Export-Import Bank of Korea to Cambodia. The total construction cost is 115.7 billion KRW. Kumho Construction stated that it will participate in this project with a 65% stake, expecting sales of approximately 75.2 billion KRW.
Kumho Construction will build one sewage treatment plant (with a daily treatment capacity of 12,000 tons) located in Takmao City, Kandal Province, southeastern Cambodia, along with one main pumping station and six relay pumping stations. Additionally, it will install 125.3 km of sewage pipelines, 5.4 km of stormwater pipelines, and drainage facilities for 10,000 households.
Through the establishment of a modern sewage treatment facility, the project aims to prevent groundwater and river pollution, prevent waterborne infectious diseases, and contribute to improving the living environment and public health standards of Takmao City residents.
Kumho Construction entered Cambodia starting with the ‘Krong Ponley Dam Construction’ in 2008 and has completed projects such as the ‘Kampot Bypass Road,’ ‘Siem Reap Sewage Treatment Plant,’ ‘National Road No. 56,’ and ‘Mongkol Borei Dam.’ Currently, it is carrying out the ‘Banteay Meanchey Irrigation Facility Construction’ and ‘Climate-Resilient Rural Infrastructure Development Project.’
