This year's evaluation classified colleges by student enrollment into College A Group (4,000 or more students), B Group (between 2,000 and 4,000 students), and C Group (less than 2,000 students), and selected the best university library by combining scores from four areas and 24 indicators.
In this evaluation, Yongin Technical College Library received high scores in each indicator for its specialized services tailored to students, such as interactive LMS user education on report writing, operation of the gamification-based Bookmangtalchul Club, and hosting of the Humanities Writing Contest.
Additionally, the library contributed to increasing the utilization rate of library materials by organizing cultural events that allow students to engage with books more easily and with interest, through programs such as BookBTI and the Reading Challenge, which were planned by librarians and coded by students from the Department of Computer Engineering.
Furthermore, the university library remodeling project greatly improved student satisfaction by creating spaces such as a book cafe, group study rooms, carrels, open reading rooms, and book curation areas.
Song Hyeyoung, Director of Yongin Technical College Library (Professor), said, "Our librarians are organizing a variety of cultural events with creative ideas and planning so that our students can make full use of the library. Thanks to the university's generous investment in the library, it has become a place bustling with students. We will continue to work hard to ensure that the library serves as a valuable guide for our students as they open the door to the future."
