On the 29th, Hyundai AutoEver announced that it had appointed Park Sang-su, formerly of consulting firm AT Kearney, as head of the Innovation Strategy Convergence Division, and Jang Yeon-se, formerly of POSCO DX, as head of the SDx Center.
Executive Director Park is a strategic planning expert who has worked at renowned global consulting firms such as McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and Accenture. His main focus is on strategy formulation and execution utilizing digital technologies, cloud, and generative artificial intelligence (AI). While serving as a managing director at AT Kearney, he provided digital and strategy consulting services to major domestic and international corporations. He also made strategic proposals related to connected cars, generative AI, and software-defined vehicles (SDV) to Hyundai Motor Group.
Hyundai AutoEver expects Executive Director Park to significantly contribute to solidifying its position as a software (SW) specialized company and enhancing competitiveness within the global ICT ecosystem. Park expressed his ambition, stating, "I will contribute to technological innovation, business growth, and capability enhancement together with the team members."
Executive Director Jang Yeon-se, formerly of POSCO DX, was appointed as the head of the newly established Hyundai AutoEver SDx Center. SDx stands for "everything defined by software." It is a mid- to long-term core strategy announced by Hyundai Motor Group at CES in January. The concept involves applying software and AI to all environments so that services become automated, autonomous, and continuously connected. Hyundai AutoEver views the smart factory as an area where the SDx vision can be realized, as it integrates key IT industry technologies such as software, AI, digital twins, and robotics.
Executive Director Jang has worked at AWS, IBM, and Deloitte, handling smart factory solutions and digital transformation. He has carried out strategic consulting and digital innovation projects across various industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, finance, and energy. While serving as a managing director at AWS, he led multiple projects to build digital twin and digital production platforms. As head of the IT Technology Development Group at POSCO DX, he established digital twin and AI-based simulation systems in the steel and secondary battery materials businesses.
With the recruitment of Executive Director Jang, Hyundai AutoEver plans to make more proactive proposals to its clients. Jang said, "I will do my best to solidify Hyundai AutoEver’s global leadership by integrating the latest digital technologies."
