Police Officer Caught for Trespassing Identified as Sexual Assault Suspect from 13 Years Ago
An active-duty police officer was arrested on charges of trespassing and was handed over to the prosecution after being identified as the perpetrator of a sexual assault case that occurred 13 years ago through DNA comparison analysis.
The Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that it had sent Mr. A, a man in his 40s, to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office on the 27th on charges of trespassing and rape. Mr. A was a police inspector belonging to the Mobile Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and was suspended from his position that day.
