Goheung 'Gunrip Haneul Park Development Project' Construction Progressing Smoothly
Progress Rate 20%... Scheduled to Open in 2026
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 28th that the long-awaited project, the "Gohung-gun Municipal Sky Park Development Project," is currently progressing smoothly toward an overall completion rate of 20%.
The Gohung-gun Municipal Sky Park is being developed on a scale of 57,679㎡ with a total project cost of 19.8 billion KRW. It will include 8,500 columbarium niches, 1,883 natural burial sites, a family tomb hill, parking lots, and other convenience facilities.
Gong Yeong-min, Governor of Goheung County, is inspecting the construction site on the 26th.

The columbarium will be a two-story building with a total floor area of 2,943㎡, including a memorial room, a cyber memorial hall, offices, and columbarium rooms. The lawn-style natural burial site will cover an area of 3,477㎡. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2025 and is planned to open in January 2026.
Following the site preparation, the foundation pile work for the columbarium building has been completed, and the framework construction of the building is planned to be finished by the end of this year.
Governor Gong Young-min inspected the progress and upcoming schedule of the project during an on-site executive meeting on the 26th. He urged, "Please pay special attention to ensure that the construction proceeds without any setbacks and make efforts to complete it properly."
