View original imageGachon University held the ‘2023 Academic Year Second Semester Degree Conferment Ceremony’ on the 22nd at the University Ye-eum Hall.
At the ceremony, Gachon University announced that a total of 1,861 degrees were awarded, including 85 doctoral degrees, 476 master’s degrees, and 1,300 bachelor’s degrees.
The ceremony proceeded in the following order: opening, ▲report on degrees awarded ▲president’s congratulatory address ▲alumni association president’s encouragement speech ▲presentation of plaques ▲and singing of the school anthem.
The top and second highest honors were awarded to Minhu Kim (female, ’22) from the Department of Medical Management and Jiyeon Park (female, ’23) from the Department of Psychology, who received the President’s Award and the Alumni Association President’s Award, respectively.
Gachon University President Gil-yeo Lee, in his congratulatory speech titled “Only prepared players wear medals around their necks,” said, “Olympic athletes have gone through thousands and tens of thousands of failures to finally bear fruit with glorious medals,” and added, “Like athletes competing on the Olympic stage where the world competes, I hope you dream big, set high goals, and take on challenges.”
