"The Department Store Turned Art Museum"... Hyundai Department Store's 'The Hyundai Art Stage'
Held at all 15 stores nationwide until the 8th of next month
Exhibition of works in various genres including painting, printmaking, and sculpture
Hyundai Department Store announced on the 22nd that it will hold the art fair "The Hyundai Art Stage" at 15 stores nationwide, including the Apgujeong Main Store, from the 23rd of this month to the 8th of next month.
The Hyundai Art Stage is an event where visitors can enjoy artworks in various genres such as painting, printmaking, and sculpture. It is held to commemorate the largest domestic art fair, "Kiaf Seoul 2024," which will take place at COEX in Seoul from the 4th to the 8th of next month. Previously, in August 2022, Hyundai Department Store signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Fine Arts Association to revitalize the domestic art market, and since then, it has participated annually as an official sponsor of "Kiaf (Korea International Art Fair) Seoul."

View original imageDuring The Hyundai Art Stage event, various exhibitions will be held at each store. At the Apgujeong Main Store, from the 24th of this month to the 8th of next month, the "Art in Life" exhibition will be held on the 5th floor at Salon de H. Four contemporary artists?Park Seo-bo, Park Chan-woo, Jeon Jin-pyo, and Choi Young-wook?will participate, showcasing works that reflect their unique styles, with some pieces available for sale.
At the Pangyo Store, from the 23rd of this month to the 1st of next month, the "Market AP (Art on Paper)" event, known as a gateway for emerging artists, will be held on the 10th floor at Topaz Hall. A total of 92 artists will participate, presenting over 300 works across various genres including original printmaking, photography, and art toys.
At the Trade Center Store, from the 27th of this month, the "Super Collector Exhibition" will be held on the 10th floor Cultural Hall, showcasing paintings and installation artworks by domestic and international blue-chip artists. At the Cheonho Store, from the 3rd of next month, the "Murakami Flower Smile" exhibition by Takashi Murakami, the founder of Japanese pop art, will be held at Gallery H on the 13th floor.
The Hyundai Children's Book Museum (MOKA) will hold an exhibition of children's picture books. At Hyundai Premium Outlet Space1, the worldwide touring exhibition "BEYOND PAPER PLANE: Children's Books from the Czech Republic" will be held, showcasing a variety of children's picture books.
