Busan Urban Corporation Implements Organizational Restructuring... Introduces Four-Headquarters System and Business Division System
Promotion of Core City Projects and Expansion of Project Volume
Project-Centered Flexibility, Integration of Construction and Sales
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Kim Yonghak) announced on the 20th that it will implement an organizational restructuring effective from the 1st of next month, aimed at operating a business-centered organization for key municipal projects such as the Centum2 Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex.
This restructuring focuses on the establishment of new business headquarters and divisions in response to the increase in new projects such as the Centum2 Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex and the Gadeokdo New Airport Airport Complex City. It also introduces a business division system that unifies tasks from construction to sales and supply within a single department.
The main changes include splitting the existing Urban Creation Headquarters into the Strategic Business Headquarters, responsible for civil engineering projects, and the Space Creation Headquarters, responsible for architectural projects. This is in response to the expected tripling of future project volume due to new projects such as the Research and Development Special Zone and public housing construction projects in Eco Delta City. The corporation aims to enhance organizational efficiency through this restructuring.
Additionally, the function of the existing Sales Compensation Office will be adjusted so that sales tasks are assigned to the business departments, thereby unifying the entire process from construction to sales. New divisions, the Centum2 Project Division and the Airport City Project Division, will be established to accelerate the implementation of key municipal projects.
Furthermore, as the corporation has been designated as the agency for supporting Busan's redevelopment projects, a Construction Cost Verification Task Force will be established and dedicated personnel assigned to carry out verification and advisory roles regarding construction costs.
Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "We will keep in mind that this organizational restructuring is both a mandate from the citizens to actively pursue new projects that will become the foundation of Busan as a global hub city, and our duty. All executives and employees will do their best in their respective positions."
