This is his second win of the season and fifth overall, three months after the LIV Golf Singapore event in May, with a winner’s prize of $4 million (approximately 5.4 billion KRW).
Koepka started from a tie for second place, two strokes behind, and swept up 7 birdies without any bogeys. He reduced 4 strokes on the front nine with birdies on holes 1, 3, 4, and 7, then demonstrated his ability to surge with three consecutive birdies from holes 12 to 14 on the back nine. He is a ‘big match’ player with 5 major wins among his 9 total PGA Tour victories.

He missed the chance for back-to-back wins in two tournaments following last month’s event in Rochester, England. ‘Hulk’ Bryson DeChambeau (USA) and Danny Lee (New Zealand) tied for 15th place (11 under par 199 strokes), Anthony Kim 36th place (6 under par 204 strokes), and Kevin Na (all USA) finished 49th (2 under par 208 strokes) to conclude the tournament.
