Pyeongtaek City Installs New 'Road Name Address Base Number Plates' on Pyeongtaekgang Bicycle Road
Accurate Location Identification Enables Rapid Response in Emergencies
On the 16th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has recently completed the installation of new 'Road Name Address Basic Number Plates' along the Pyeongtaekgang Bicycle Road.
The 'Basic Number Plate' is a signboard that uses road names and basic numbers to indicate locations where there are no buildings or to guide positions along roads.
This installation of the basic number plates was carried out due to the increasing number of users on the Pyeongtaek Riverside Bicycle Road and the need for easy road names for rescue and emergency activities in urgent situations. Accordingly, the new basic number plates have changed from the existing 'Pyeongtaekho Sunhwan Bicycle 1-gil·2-gil, Anseongcheon Bicycle 1-gil·2-gil' to regional names and directions such as 'Pyeongtaekgangbuk Bicycle Road, Pyeongtaekgangnam Bicycle Road, Pyeongtaekgangdong Bicycle Road.'
The newly installed basic number plates feature directional indicators at the top left corner and fluorescent borders to enhance visibility, allowing users to easily identify their location.
