KG Mobility Announces Battery Manufacturer Notice... Electric Vehicle Safety Inspection Conducted
KG Mobility (hereinafter KGM) announced on the 14th that it will notify battery manufacturers on its website and conduct a special safety inspection for electric vehicles.
KGM added that it has taken measures to alleviate consumer anxiety following a series of recent electric vehicle fires.
Previously, KGM has disclosed battery manufacturers through various channels since the launch of the Torres EVX in September last year. The Torres EVX is equipped with a Chinese BYD LFP battery.
Information about the battery manufacturers of KGM electric vehicles can be found on the website and the automobile recall center website. The special safety inspection for electric vehicles will be conducted by individually notifying the target customers.
Additionally, KGM is the only automaker to collaborate with government-funded institutions to develop software for the vehicle Battery Management System (BMS) and EV Communication Controller (EVCC) that can provide battery information, completing development at the end of July to prevent fires in slow chargers.
