Gyeongbok University Startup Incubation Center Selected as Gyeonggi-do Startup Innovation Space... Expected to Become a Startup Hub
Gyeongbok University Startup Incubation Center (BI) has been selected for the "Gyeonggi-do Designated Startup Innovation Space Operation" project.
Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency are promoting this project as part of the "Pangyo+20" initiative, aiming to nurture more than 3,000 startups by 2026.
The Gyeongbok University "Designated Startup Innovation Space" is located on the 4th and 5th floors of the university's startup incubation center, covering a total area of 2,994.89㎡ and equipped with 30 startup residency and collaboration spaces.
The Gyeongbok University Startup Incubation Center will provide various support programs for revitalizing startups in the northeastern region of Gyeonggi, including ▲creating full-cycle startup spaces ▲discovering companies in innovative and new industry fields ▲customized support according to growth stages ▲tailored coaching for startups within the region ▲technology collaboration and technology transfer linkage.
In particular, Gyeongbok University focuses on fostering high value-added specialized industries such as knowledge service industry, renewable energy, advanced convergence industry, and biotechnology.

Heo Seoyoon, head of the Gyeongbok University Startup Incubation Center (professor of Occupational Therapy), stated, "With this project selection, startup support policies that were previously dispersed at the local government level can be expanded and concentrated at the regional level.
