Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Supports 250 Million KRW for Youth Startups in Gyeongju City
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) will support prospective young entrepreneurs in collaboration with Gyeongju City and the Gyeongju Youth Center.
On the 14th, KHNP announced that through the 'Gyeongju City Youth New Golden Startup Zone Development Project,' it will assist young entrepreneurs residing in Gyeongju to start businesses within the regeneration zone of the old downtown area around Hwang-o-dong, Gyeongju. Now in its fourth year, this program has supported a total of 19 startup companies with 600 million KRW over the past three years since 2020, and this year plans to provide 250 million KRW to help establish six youth startups.
KHNP's startup support funds are used not only for facility and operating expenses such as various remodeling and equipment purchases to establish an initial operational foundation but also for promotion, consulting, and follow-up management to ensure sustainable growth and stable business operations. Additionally, business briefings and startup support academies will be held for prospective entrepreneurs to enhance the effectiveness of the support. To ensure transparency, a rigorous evaluation process will be conducted three times.
