Korea Investment & Securities, Support Project for 'Dreams and Hope Single-Parent Families'
Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Financial Group, announced on the 13th that it has launched a support project to help single-parent families facing economic difficulties.
The ‘Dream and Hope’ support project for single-parent families selects families in urgent need among those raising infants and young children and provides emergency living funds. This year, in collaboration with the social welfare corporation ChildFund Korea, a total of 20 families will receive support funds amounting to 20 million KRW, covering food expenses, medical bills, unpaid tuition fees, and utility bills.
The funding for the support project comes from the social contribution fund accumulated monthly by Korea Investment & Securities employees. Since 2013, the company has operated a ‘matching grant’ system where employees freely donate any amount they wish each month, and the company contributes an equal amount monthly to the social contribution fund.
