This surpasses the cumulative number of illegal contents blocked from the 1st to the 4th white papers (approximately 230 million). More than 90 operators of 31 illegal sites worldwide were identified, leading to the shutdown of 7 major sites. This achievement not only involved deleting illegal contents but also cutting off the distribution chain by identifying the operators.
In particular, the 5th white paper includes responses based on the 'Illegal Site Operator Identification Technology.' Kakao Entertainment's Illegal Distribution Response Team sent warning messages to illegal site operators to induce voluntary shutdowns, and when that was not successful, they cooperated with local investigative agencies to initiate legal actions. Through this, 7 large-scale illegal sites, including 'Gmanga,' the largest illegal site in the Arabic-speaking world, the second largest illegal site in the Arabic-speaking world, and illegal sites ranked within the top 10 in English-speaking regions, have been completely shut down.
