Seongdong-gu Distributes Two Essential Guide Stickers for Newborn Families
Adopting Public Suggestions, Producing Type 1 Entrance Door Stickers for Baby and Mother Rest, and Type 1 Vehicle Stickers Indicating Child Onboard... Distributed at Seongdong-gu Office or Local Community Centers During Birth Registration, Laying the Foundation for a Child-Friendly City
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced that it will produce and distribute essential guide stickers to ensure that families with newborns can receive consideration for rest and safety.
The distributed guide stickers consist of two types: one magnetic sticker for the front door to encourage refraining from ringing the doorbell, and one vehicle sticker indicating that a child is on board. These will be provided when visiting Seongdong-gu Office or the local community service center to register a birth.
Families with newborns often individually produce or purchase stickers requesting refraining from ringing the doorbell to avoid disturbing the rest time of the baby and mother.
In July, the district adopted a public suggestion to resolve this inconvenience and began producing the guide stickers. The stickers include the message, "The baby is sleeping. Please knock gently, and leave deliveries at the door."
Also, noting that many families attach stickers indicating that a child is on board for safe driving, vehicle stickers with the phrase "Child on board" have been produced and distributed.
The guide stickers were produced in connection with the promotion of the "Seoul City Pregnant Women Transportation Expense Support Project," and detailed information about the support program for pregnant women can be found on the Seoul Mom Care System website listed at the bottom.
