Dongdaemun-gu Visits ICTC, Strengthens Disaster Response Capability Through Simulation Training... Joint Press Briefing with Fire Department Practice and Preparation of Expected Question Responses
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) visited the 'Seoul Disaster Site Command Capability Enhancement Center (ICTC)' located in Eunpyeong-gu on the 5th and conducted a simulated drill assuming a disaster situation.
On this day, the drill was conducted by creating a virtual space simulating a large-scale fire at a multi-family housing complex, assigning various possible scenarios to the integrated support headquarters, and having each task force handle them.
The Dongdaemun-gu Integrated Support Headquarters staff, composed of the Medical Support Team, Evacuee Relief Team, Funeral Support Team, and Safety Measures Team, managed the disaster occurring in the virtual space while learning the 'tasks of each task force' and the 'correct response methods according to the situation.'
Additionally, through a joint press briefing practice with the fire department, they responded to anticipated questions from reporters and took time to discuss and organize the district's stance and response plans regarding ▲ housing support for fire victims ▲ handling of deceased foreigners.
