Cheil Worldwide Hosts 'Summer Camp' with Multicultural Youth
Sports Class Brings Multicultural Youth Together in One Place
Cheil Worldwide held the 'Samsung Multicultural Youth Sports Class' summer camp on the 8th at the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Global Campus in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
The Samsung Multicultural Youth Sports Class is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, with Cheil Worldwide acting as the lead organizer. Eight affiliated companies, including Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis, Hotel Shilla, S-1, Samsung Medical Center, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Samsung Welstory, and Samsung Global Research, are participating.
Cheil Worldwide held a summer camp, a special activity of the Samsung Multicultural Youth Sports Class, on the 8th at the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Global Campus Multipurpose Hall (Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do). Youth participants in the summer camp are dribbling a basketball.

About 200 people attended the event, including around 160 youths participating in the sports class, Jang Kyung-tae from the Democratic Party of Korea, Kim Sang-wook from the People Power Party, Hwang Yoon-jung, Director of the Youth and Family Policy Office at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Hwang In-sik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, Oh Jun, Chairman of Save the Children, and Kim Jong-hyun, CEO of Cheil Worldwide.
At the event, CEO Kim said, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that the youth, who are the future of Korea, can grow into confident members of society who feel a sense of belonging and solidarity through sports and understand each other's differences." He added, "I hope the participants communicate with their friends and achieve healthy growth of both body and mind during this summer camp."
During the summer camp, the participating youths were divided into four teams and took part in the '4-Color Sports Festival,' which included ▲soccer ball dribbling ▲basketball dribbling ▲ping pong ball bouncing ▲badminton shuttlecock hitting. About 50 employees from nine Samsung companies' sports clubs, including Cheil Worldwide, also participated. The employees were assigned to each team alongside the youths and joined in programs such as soccer and basketball.

About 10 players from the professional basketball team Seoul Samsung Thunders also participated and held a basketball class. Lee Dong-yeop, captain of the Thunders, said, "Seeing children from diverse cultural backgrounds cooperate and enjoy sports together made me realize once again the power of sports," and added, "I want to actively participate in the future as well."
