Icheon Gwangodong Saeum Reservoir Transformed into an Ecological Environment Park

The Saeum Reservoir area in Gwango-dong, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do has been transformed into an ecological environment park featuring an observatory and a loess road.
On the 5th, Icheon City held a completion ceremony for the 'Saeum Reservoir Ecological Environment Park' attended by about 100 people, including Mayor Kim Kyung-hee, provincial and city council members, key organization heads, and local residents.

The Saeum Reservoir Ecological Environment Park project was actively pursued starting in June last year through gathering residents' opinions. In November last year, the first phase of the project was completed, including surrounding environment maintenance and installation of an observation deck. Recently, the observation deck was expanded, and a loess road and foot-washing station were installed.

Mayor Kim said, "I hope this ecological environment park becomes a space where citizens can comfortably heal," adding, "We plan to carefully maintain the park so that it can become a landmark of Icheon City."
