Ulju County Conducts On-Site Inspections and Campaigns at Summer Water Recreation Areas
Governor Lee Soongeol and Others Take Action to Prevent Safety Accidents
Uljugun in Ulsan City conducted on-site inspections and a safety campaign at two summer water recreation management areas, Cheolguso Valley in Sangbuk and Aegiso Valley in Onyang, on the 6th to coincide with the summer vacation season.
About 40 people participated in the campaign, including Uljugun Mayor Lee Sungul, as well as members of local safety organizations such as safety guards, safety monitoring volunteers, volunteer firefighters, and public officials.
The participants checked measures to prevent safety accidents for water recreation visitors, including the deployment of safety management personnel, installation of life-saving equipment and guide signs, and the availability of safety gear such as life jackets and life rings.
They also conducted a safety campaign for vacationers, focusing on promoting basic water safety rules such as warming up before entering the water, wearing life jackets, and prohibiting swimming under the influence of alcohol.

Mayor Lee Sungul said, "As outdoor water recreation activities increase during the summer peak season, we will do our best to prevent water safety accidents by deploying safety personnel at water recreation management areas and beaches. Please make sure to warm up before entering the water and strictly follow all safety precautions," he added.
