Operation of Dawn Job Shelter, Open Recruitment for 3 Fixed-term Workers

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will publicly recruit a total of 3 temporary workers to work at the ‘Dawn Job Shelter’ (1 in September, 2 in October).
Residents aged 18 or older who are physically healthy and able to work during dawn hours (those registered as residents of Geumcheon-gu) are eligible to apply.
The application period is from August 7 to 9. Residents wishing to apply can download the application form and other documents from the Geumcheon-gu Office website, fill them out, and submit the completed documents by visiting the 9th floor of Geumcheon-gu Office’s Job and Youth Division (9 AM to 6 PM) or by email.
The hiring process consists of a first round of document screening and a second round of interviews. The final successful candidates will be posted on the Geumcheon-gu Office website on the 22nd and will be individually notified.
Hired workers will work 5 days a week, 3 hours per day from 4 AM to 7 AM on weekdays, performing tasks such as setting up tent shelters, providing beverages, maintaining the environment around the shelter, and managing safety.
The pay for 2024 is 45,740 KRW per day, and for 2025 it will be paid according to the Geumcheon-gu living wage standard for that year. This amount reflects a wage increase for dawn work (2 hours from 4 AM to 6 AM).
The Geumcheon-gu ‘Dawn Job Shelter’ is continuously operated on the sidewalk in front of 475 Siheung-daero (Doksan Hill Dawn Labor Market) for construction day laborers seeking jobs at dawn. For the convenience of workers, a movable tent is installed providing free Wi-Fi, mobile phone chargers, chairs, heaters, and various types of tea.
