Promise to Raise Funds for Lay Leader Training
The Graduate School of Culture and Spirituality at Catholic University and the Korean Catholic Lay Apostolate Council (Korean Pyondanhyeop) signed a business agreement at the Catholic University Seongui Hall to train lay leaders.
According to Catholic University on the 5th, the signing ceremony held on the 30th of last month was attended by Father Jeong Taeyoung (Melanio), Dean of the Graduate School of Culture and Spirituality at Catholic University, An Jaehong (Veda), President of Korean Pyondanhyeop, Father Choi Jungyu (Michael), Director of the University Development Promotion Team at Catholic University, Father Kim Yeonbeom (Antonio), in charge of Korean Pyondanhyeop, Secretary General Kim Hyochul (Gregorio), Father Lee Youngje (Joseph), Major Professor of the Graduate School of Culture and Spirituality at Catholic University, and other key officials from both sides.
Through the business agreement, the two organizations promised to work together to train lay leaders who will carry out the mission of evangelization within the church and society, and to raise funds. They also agreed to establish a joint research and cooperation system necessary for training lay leaders.

Jeong Taeyoung, Dean of the Graduate School of Culture and Spirituality at Catholic University, said, “Since its establishment in 2003, the Graduate School of Culture and Spirituality at Catholic University has strived to nurture professionals with a systematic understanding of Catholic spirituality, leadership character, and creative abilities,” and added, “I hope this agreement will serve as a cornerstone for the spirituality of lay leaders in the Korean Catholic Church.”
