View original imageOn the 5th, Ecopro announced that for the first time since its founding, it will convert Park Jong-kwang, Senior Manager of Ecopro BM's Pohang Facility, who retired upon reaching the retirement age, into a contract employee and dispatch him to its factory in Hungary. A contract employee refers to a system that extends employment by converting retirees into contract workers to utilize their expertise and allow them to continue working at the company.
Ecopro is constructing a cathode material factory with an annual production capacity of 54,000 tons in Debrecen, Hungary, aiming to target the European market.
Senior Manager Park entered the Army Officer Academy in 1986 and served as an officer until he was discharged as a captain in 1998. After discharge, he worked at small and medium construction companies and defense industry firms. In 2009, he joined Ecopro BM as a production team leader at the cathode material factory in Ochang, Chungbuk, and served for 15 years.
The company explained that, as a veteran with a spirit of sacrifice ingrained in him, he contributed to stabilizing the Ochang cathode material factory in 2008. Since Ecopro needs experienced employees for the early establishment of its first overseas production base, the cathode material factory in Hungary, it decided to dispatch Senior Manager Park to Hungary.
