The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 5th that Jeon Su-yong, Professor Emeritus of English Language and Literature at Ewha Womans University, has been appointed as the President of the Literature Translation Institute of Korea. The term of office is three years.
President Jeon is an educator in the fields of literature and translation. He earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan, USA, and served as a professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Kyung Hee University and Ewha Womans University from 1993 to 2019. He also gained institutional management experience by serving as a board member of the Literature Translation Institute of Korea.
