Stealing Yen Worth Approximately 50,000 Yen
A man in his 30s who stole a laptop and cash from the office of the travel platform Yanolja was arrested by the police.
On the 5th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had booked a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of nighttime trespassing and theft.
Mr. A is accused of breaking into the Yanolja office located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 4 a.m. on the 22nd of last month and stealing a laptop worth approximately 2 million won and Japanese yen equivalent to 55,000 yen.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A was found to be an employee of an external cleaning company. It was confirmed that he had entered the office multiple times from May until the 22nd of last month after picking up a temporary access card.
Mr. A reportedly voluntarily appeared at the police station and confessed to the crime after persuasion by the police.
