The "Local Government Joint Evaluation" is a system jointly conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and central administrative agencies to assess the performance of 17 metropolitan cities and provinces in carrying out major national policy projects throughout the year. This year's evaluation was conducted based on 106 evaluation indicators covering six major national goals, and Seoul City evaluated the performance of its 25 autonomous districts with S, A, and B grades based on the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's evaluation results.
According to the evaluation results, the district achieved 39 out of 44 quantitative indicators (88.6%), receiving favorable assessments in various fields. In particular, it showed strengths in ▲establishing and operating a youth harmful environment monitoring system ▲achievement rate of senior citizen job targets ▲discovery, support, and post-management of welfare blind spots and beneficiaries ▲performance of home health care projects ▲management status of registered high-risk suicide groups.
Additionally, efforts such as ▲establishing plans to improve performance for the joint evaluation ▲holding annual joint evaluation progress report meetings ▲capacity-building training for indicator managers were also highly rated.
As a result of this evaluation, the district will receive a financial incentive (special grant) of 26 million KRW from Seoul City. The cumulative amount of incentives since 2020 is approximately 170 million KRW, with Yangcheon-gu securing the largest amount among the 25 autonomous districts in Seoul.
