Eighteen students from the National Pukyong University GTEP and thirteen partner companies participated in the event.
The GTEP project is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to cultivate overseas region-specialized trade professionals tailored to the needs of the trade industry.
To foster global talent equipped with both trade theory and practical field experience, the project group has conducted 332 hours of training and 12 academic credits of lectures from February to June. On this day, the students utilized their training to promote their assigned companies' products to overseas buyers as young trade professionals and also served as interpreters for some companies, actively contributing to the event.
Following this exhibition, the National Pukyong University GTEP Project Group achieved results such as GTEP partner companies signing contracts with Japanese home shopping channels and entering discussions on launching products at Don Quijote, a leading Japanese variety store.
An Taegun, Director of the National Pukyong University GTEP Project Group, said, "At this exhibition, the students' promotional skills especially stood out. The achievements were made by students who proactively promoted their assigned companies' products after thoroughly understanding their features."
National Pukyong University was selected for the GTEP project this year and will conduct industry-government-academia convergence-type trade practice and field training for three years until 2026. To this end, the university is offering more than 50 hours of basic training programs, including marketing, e-commerce theory, and export-import simulation.
