Chungnam Police Detect 15 Cases of Drunk Driving During Vacation Season Crackdown
8 Cancellations, 7 Suspensions... 45 Cases Detected Including Unlicensed Activities

View original imageThe Chungnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 2nd that it had detected 15 cases during a concentrated crackdown on drunk driving during the vacation season.
The police deployed around 500 officers throughout Chungnam the previous day to conduct sobriety checkpoints. As a result, they detected 15 cases, including 8 license revocations and 7 license suspensions.
In addition, they found one case of driving without a license, two wanted individuals, and 42 violations of traffic laws such as not wearing seat belts.
In particular, three cases of drunk driving were detected at the entrance and exit ramps of the Daecheon Tollgate near Daecheon Beach, a popular summer destination.
A representative of the Chungnam Provincial Police Agency stated, "We will continue to conduct surprise drunk driving crackdowns throughout Chungnam, day and night," and urged, "Please actively participate in eradicating drunk driving."
