Gyeonggi Office of Education Introduces 'Technical Bidding System' for New School Construction Projects... First Nationwide
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is the first among all metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide to introduce the 'Technical Bid System' for new school construction projects.
The Technical Bid System evaluates construction companies primarily based on their technical skills and ability to carry out the construction work. This allows for the selection of companies with excellent technical expertise and experience, ensuring stable project execution.
The Office of Education announced on the 2nd that the Technical Bid System was approved at the Gyeonggi Provincial Construction Technology Review on the 1st.
The existing qualification review system focused more on price rather than technical capabilities suited to the project's characteristics, which led to frequent design changes and unclear responsibility for defects among contractors, causing ongoing quality issues.
