GS Geonseol Conducts Endangered Animal Protection Campaign
Donation of 10 Million Won to the International Union for Conservation of Nature
GS Construction announced on the 1st that it has donated 10 million KRW to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as part of a sponsorship campaign to protect endangered animals.
GS Construction planned the campaign to raise awareness about endangered animals and support conservation activities. The theme was set as ‘Save Homes, Save Lives’ to emphasize protecting the homes of endangered animals.
Using AI (artificial intelligence) technology, videos of endangered animals roaming around Xi apartment complexes were created and posted on Xi’s official SNS accounts, including YouTube Xi TV and Instagram channels. The videos recorded a total of 1.54 million views.
After the campaign ended, GS Construction delivered the sponsorship funds, which will be used for the protection of endangered animals in the future. This campaign is meaningful in that it raised awareness of important environmental issues together with both companies and consumers.
A GS Construction representative said, “We participated to raise awareness that our daily lives inside apartments are closely connected to nature, and we hope that interest and support for endangered animal protection will expand. We plan to continue participating in solving various social issues and contribute to creating social value.”
