Ministry of SMEs and Startups Holds Workshop with Related Agencies to Establish 'Comprehensive Measures for Small Business Owners and Self-Employed'
On the 1st, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups held a workshop with related organizations at the Small Enterprise and Market Service to ensure the smooth implementation of the 'Comprehensive Measures for Small Business Owners and Self-Employed' jointly prepared by related ministries on July 3rd.
About 100 officials from four central ministries including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Financial Services Commission, and six related organizations including the Small Enterprise and Market Service, Credit Guarantee Foundation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, and Employment Welfare Plus Center attended the workshop. They focused on discussing the direction of promoting the ‘One-Stop Platform for Small Business Policy Information’ to allow small business owners to receive necessary services all at once.
In the first part of the workshop, the purpose and promotion direction of the One-Stop Platform and requests for cooperation from related organizations were shared, followed by a presentation on the mid- to long-term master plan for digitalizing small business policy information.
Then, in the second part, attendees from related organizations gathered for meetings divided into three subcommittees. The first subcommittee, composed of IT officers from related organizations, discussed cooperation matters for online guidance of small business support projects by each institution. The second subcommittee, consisting of regional organization officers, discussed building regional networks and the direction for a second meeting to promote regional cooperation.
Finally, the third subcommittee, made up of field counseling officers from related organizations, shared the operation system of the One-Stop Platform and discussed areas for improvement.
The related organization officials attending the workshop agreed on the need for organic collaboration among related organizations to more effectively support small business owners and expressed their willingness to actively cooperate in supporting small business owners.

Kim Seong-seop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “This workshop was a very meaningful occasion where four central ministries closely related to small business owners and six related organizations gathered in one place to communicate. I expect that today’s discussions will greatly help maximize the effectiveness of future small business policies,” adding, “To ensure that small business owners do not miss out on support projects due to lack of information, we will collaborate with related organizations to operate the ‘One-Stop Platform for Small Business Policy Information’ without any setbacks.”
