2025 Sacheon Visit Year ... Promoting the Tourism Character 'Ttoa'

To Promote Sacheon Tourism and the Aerospace Industry
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 31st that it has launched full-scale marketing efforts to promote the “2025 Visit Sacheon Year” using its tourism character “Ttoa.”
On the 30th, “Ttoa” actively promoted “Sacheon, the hub of the aerospace industry and marine tourism,” to 11 newly appointed Gyeongnam Culture & Tourism Interpreters visiting the Sacheon Aerospace Museum.
“Ttoa” is the leader of the Sacheon City character Avengers group “Ttoa and Friends,” developed last year as part of a regional tourism development project to promote Sacheon tourism and the aerospace industry.

View original image“Ttoa and Friends” consists of four characters: “Ttoa,” an aerospace boy who dreams of becoming an astronaut; “Roki,” a memory-lost space rabbit who crash-landed on Bito Island; “Koba,” who wishes to become a giant elephant; and “Shushu,” the dinosaur bird from Aramaru Aquarium.
The aerospace boy “Ttoa” is the son of “Ttoroki,” Sacheon’s representative character first introduced in 2000, and embodies the image of “a city at the forefront of the advanced aerospace industry.”
On this day, “Ttoa,” together with the tourism-related departments, welcomed the new Gyeongnam Culture & Tourism Interpreters with five types of promotional materials, including a Sacheon tourism map, and four kinds of souvenirs such as the Popodori eco-bag.
There was also a commemorative photo session to ensure the successful promotion of the “2025 Visit Sacheon Year.”
In particular, “Ttoa” not only took commemorative photos with many children visiting the Aerospace Museum but also produced content for Sacheon tourism SNS promotion, fully fulfilling its role as a tourism character for Sacheon.
Lee Chunyeop, an official at Gyeongnam Provincial Namhae College in charge of training the new interpreters, said, “Sacheon is a city full of attractions, food, and experiences. We will do our best to attract many tourists to Sacheon through active promotion by the interpreters.”
A city official stated, “You will be able to see ‘Ttoa’ in action at festivals and events nationwide. We will continue to carry out creative marketing using ‘Ttoa’ in the future.”
