Joseongjae, 1st Place Overall in Men's 200m Breaststroke Heats [Paris Olympics]
Jo Seongjae (Daejeon Metropolitan City Hall) became the first Korean swimmer to advance to the Olympic breaststroke semifinals. He topped the preliminaries overall, surpassing world-class competitors such as L?on Marchand (France) and Qin Haiyang (China).
On the 30th (Korean time), Jo Seongjae recorded the best time of 2 minutes 9.45 seconds among 25 swimmers in the men's 200m breaststroke preliminaries at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the La D?fense Swimming Center in Paris, France.
In the same heat 4, breaststroke specialist Qin Haiyang (2 minutes 9.91 seconds) and France’s star Marchand (2 minutes 9.55 seconds) both posted slower times than Jo Seongjae.
