South Korea and China held the 'Economic Cooperation Review Meeting' and agreed to continue communication for stable supply chain management and the revitalization of trade and investment. This follows recent high-level exchanges between the two countries, such as the 'Deputy Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue,' expanding bilateral high-level interactions.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 30th, the 28th Korea-China Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Review Meeting was held yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Commerce building in Beijing, China. Kim Jin-dong, Director General of the Bilateral Economic Diplomacy Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Wang Liping, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, served as chief representatives for their respective sides, and at this meeting, they evaluated that the momentum for economic cooperation between the two countries is strengthening, including through the Korea-China-Japan Summit.

Both sides agreed to continue communication for stable supply chain management and the revitalization of trade and investment between the two countries through various economic consultative bodies, including the 28th Korea-China Economic Joint Committee scheduled to be held within the year. Additionally, they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in areas such as local economic exchanges and cooperation, regional and multilateral cooperation, cultural content exchange, and intellectual property rights protection.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that both sides agreed on the importance of creating a stable and predictable business environment to expand mutual investment and committed to efforts to resolve difficulties faced by companies. They also evaluated that this meeting served as an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and exchange in-depth opinions to promote mutually beneficial practical cooperation.
The Korea-China Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Review Meeting is an annual director-level consultative body between South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China's Ministry of Commerce that reviews the current status of bilateral economic cooperation and exchanges opinions on cooperation measures. It was first held in 1993. Officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy also attended this meeting.
