The newly developed Jeonnam Education dedicated font consists of four types across three styles: Gothic style (Ttobakche), Myeongjo style (Bareunche), and handwritten style (Yunache). It includes 2,780 Korean characters, 94 English characters, and 986 special characters.

'Ttobakche' adds a modern sensibility to the existing logo, 'Bareunche' symbolizes droplets of effort coming together to create the future, and 'Yunache' is based on an actual parent's handwriting selected through a national handwritten contest last year, adding a sense of community participation.

All three styles were developed to be online environment-friendly so that the characters are clearly displayed on mobile and web platforms, keeping pace with the digital textbook era.

These fonts can be downloaded for free from the Office of Education's official website and can be used for commercial purposes.

The Office of Education plans to actively promote the dedicated fonts nationwide, not only within affiliated institutions but also for use in materials, promotional items, SNS web posters, and videos produced by institutions and schools both online and offline.

Kim Hak-ju, the public relations officer, said, "Although there are many fonts available on the market, there are many factors to consider, from legal checks on whether they are free or paid to design preferences, which can cause work-related stress. We expect the dedicated fonts to resolve the efforts and concerns of faculty and staff."
