Response Level Raised Due to Concerns Over Fire Spread

At around 4:25 PM on the 28th, a fire broke out at a resource recycling facility in Jangan-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, prompting firefighting authorities to respond.
The fire department issued a Level 1 response at approximately 4:44 PM, but due to concerns about the fire spreading, they upgraded to a Level 2 response at around 5:06 PM. When a Level 2 response is declared, firefighting forces from 8 to 11 nearby fire stations and 51 to 80 pieces of equipment are fully mobilized.
Currently, there have been no reported casualties from the fire. Due to the large amount of smoke generated, Hwaseong City sent out disaster alert messages advising residents to close their windows and take safety precautions.
