40s Police Officer Who Collapsed in Office Dies After One Week
A police officer in his 40s who lost consciousness and collapsed in the office died after a week.
On the 26th, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that Inspector A, who was receiving hospital treatment that morning, had passed away.
Inspector A was found unconscious and collapsed in the office by a colleague on the 19th. He was then transported to the hospital but died after a week. It was reported that Inspector A showed symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage. The exact cause of death is under investigation.
Recently, incidents of police officers collapsing or dying have been occurring consecutively in Seoul. On the 18th, Inspector B of the Gwanak Police Station collapsed on the subway on his way to work and was discharged after hospital examination. The next day, Sergeant C of the Gwanak Police Station, who had been expressing concerns about work overload to those around him, took his own life.
