On the 25th, Pohang City conducted safety and health education and violence prevention training for 210 participants in the public job project for the second half of 2024 at the Small Theater of the Culture and Arts Center.

The session covered laws and guidelines related to serious industrial accidents, case studies and response methods for various types of safety incidents, and was conducted alongside on-site violence prevention education to ensure safe project implementation.
The 2024 second half public job program will be carried out by 51 departments across 85 fields, aiming to provide a pleasant environment for citizens and convenience for tourists. The projects include maintenance of tourist attractions such as the Homibando Coastal Trail, Yeongildae Beach, and the Marine Skywalk; improvement of cultural spaces like the Yeongil Folk Museum and Yangdeok Hanmaeum Sports Center; and urban environment maintenance.
This training was especially designed to raise awareness among both department staff and participants about potential safety accidents during project execution and to prevent industrial accidents. With the ongoing heatwave, the city agreed to strengthen heatwave prevention activities during the summer to ensure no cases of heat-related illness occur.
An official from Pohang City stated, "We hope you take pride in contributing to citizen convenience and regional development through your participation in the public job program," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide quality jobs with a safe working environment."
