The city set the vision for lifelong education in the second half of the 8th term as "Yongin, a lifelong learning city growing through citizens' learning," and presented three major strategies: ▲a fundamental transformation of the lifelong learning city system ▲creation of a virtuous cycle lifelong learning ecosystem ▲promotion of balanced lifelong learning. To achieve this, six key tasks will be pursued: ▲restructuring and sustainable operation of lifelong learning projects ▲establishment of a digital and data-based lifelong learning environment ▲linking learning and jobs in a cyclical manner ▲building lifelong learning networks and sharing values ▲installation and operation of nearby lifelong learning centers ▲discovery and expanded support for learning-disadvantaged groups.
The council members agreed on the achievements so far and the direction to move forward, advising that lifelong learning policies should be proactively prepared in response to population changes and various era changes to meet citizens' needs.
