The Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) announced on the 25th that it will open a 'Venture Capital E-learning Course' in collaboration with the Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) to strengthen the investment attraction capabilities of small and medium-sized venture enterprises.
This opening is a follow-up measure to the business agreement signed last February. The course was designed by combining the expertise of each institution to support promising small and medium-sized venture enterprises that possess excellent technology but face difficulties in fundraising. The content is developed by the VC Association, and the SBC is responsible for operating the education.
According to the '2023 Venture Business Detailed Survey' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, among the management difficulties faced by small businesses, 'fundraising and fund management' accounted for the highest proportion at 66.8%. The VC Association plans to enhance small businesses' understanding of venture capital to maximize the possibility of successful investment attraction and resolve fundraising difficulties.
The course delivers core content about venture capital concisely. It consists of a total of 10 modules, including ▲ VC Investment ▲ VC Management ▲ VC Law ▲ Industry-specific Investment Analysis ▲ Understanding the Exit Market. The instructors are composed of active venture capitalists and a VC-specialized law firm with over 15 years of experience in the investment industry.
Yoon Geon-su, Chairman of the VC Association, said, "Through continuous collaboration with the SBC, we will provide high-quality educational courses to promising small and medium-sized venture enterprises and strive for the growth of the venture ecosystem by strengthening investment attraction capabilities."
