Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Selected as Preferred Negotiator for Czech Nuclear Plant, Defeating France
15 Years Since 2009
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the new nuclear power plant construction project in the Czech Republic.
Reuters and AFP reported that the Czech government made this decision at a cabinet meeting held on the 17th (local time).
This is Korea's first nuclear power plant order in 15 years since the Barakah nuclear power plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2009.
The Czech Republic plans to build up to four additional reactors with a capacity of up to 1,200 MW at the existing Dukovany and Temel?n nuclear power plants, and in April, final bids were received from KHNP and ?lectricit? de France (EDF).
