POSCO Cheongam Foundation Selects 233 'Deungdae Scholars' from High Schools in Pohang and Gwangyang
Including 3 Special and Alternative Schools Starting This Year
POSCO Chungam Foundation announced on the 17th that it has selected 233 students as POSCO 'Lighthouse Scholars' for 2024 to support the academic studies of high school students in the Pohang and Gwangyang areas.
The scholarship certificate award ceremonies were held on the 16th at the Gwangyang Culture and Arts Center and on the 17th at the Pohang Hyoja Art Hall, respectively.
This selection included students from special and alternative schools, with recipients chosen from 29 high schools in Pohang and 10 high schools in Gwangyang.
The scholarship recipients will receive a scholarship of 1 million KRW and will have the opportunity to attend special lectures by college admission experts as well as participate in a paid college admission mentoring program.
POSCO Chungam Foundation also operates the POSCO Vision Scholarship program, which provides 5 million KRW annually to first-year university students.

On the 16th, the POSCO Chungam Foundation awarded scholarship certificates to lighthouse scholarship students from the Gwangyang area at the Gwangyang Culture and Arts Center.
