Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation Successfully Holds the 31st Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony
The Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation announced on the 16th that it held the 31st Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony at the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall on the 10th of this month.
The Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholarship Program is Mirae Asset's flagship social contribution project that supports young talents from the Republic of Korea to experience knowledge and culture in a global environment. Since 2007, scholars have been selected twice a year. To date, a total of 7,208 university students have been dispatched to 50 countries.
The 31st batch of scholars consists of 245 students in total. They are scheduled to be dispatched to world-renowned universities this fall semester. The composition is 60% in science and engineering, 30% in business and economics, and 10% in humanities and social sciences. Major dispatch countries include Germany (53 students), the United States (46 students), France (19 students), the United Kingdom (17 students), and Canada (10 students).
Song Ju-ho, a 31st batch scholar from KAIST, expressed his determination, saying, “In France, my dispatch country, I will take courses in algorithms and statistics to lay the theoretical foundation to become an AI engineer.”
Jang Yong-sung, Chairman of the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation, said, “In the era of 100-year lifespans, it is necessary to study lifelong and pursue multi-careers,” and added, “I hope you build your own career through curiosity and diverse experiences in everything.”

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2000, the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation has been conducting various talent development programs under the banner of “Becoming the hope of young people.” Including overseas exchange scholars, it has supported 13,797 scholars to date, such as 3,938 domestic scholars and 122 global investment expert scholars. In addition, more than 450,000 participants have joined Mirae Asset’s talent development programs, including economic and career education and global cultural experiences.
