Ulsan City to Hold Joint Briefing on 'Gongdonganjeongwanrija' Support Program
Response Strategies for the Serious Accidents Punishment Act for Small and Medium-sized Businesses
Ulsan City will hold a joint briefing session for the Joint Safety Manager Support Project at 2 p.m. on the 1st floor Citizen Hall of the City Council on the 16th.
This briefing session will be attended by about 30 people, including representatives from Ulsan City, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, local business owner organizations and associations. The session will include an explanation of the project and a Q&A session.
This project was launched as the Serious Accidents Punishment Act was expanded to cover workplaces with fewer than 50 employees. It aims to support small-scale workplaces that lack manpower and budget by providing partial funding for the operation of joint safety managers when business owner organizations hire safety managers. The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency provides this support.
The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency has announced recruitment for project participants three times until June this year, aiming to support 20 people in the Ulsan area. However, due to low participation, the project has faced difficulties in implementation.
Ulsan City plans to hold a joint briefing with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency to gather industry opinions, enhance understanding of the Joint Safety Manager Support Project, and encourage more business owner organizations to participate.
