A death threat post against Han Dong-hoon, the People Power Party's candidate for party leader, was posted online, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the police, at around 10:50 a.m. on the 15th, a report was received by the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency that a death threat post against candidate Han had been uploaded to an online community.
The post reportedly contained messages such as "Han Dong-hoon is coming with a knife" and "Stay still."
After receiving the report, the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency is said to have notified the Suseo Police Station in Seoul, where candidate Han's residence is located, at around 12:50 p.m. that day.
