Ulsan Office of Education Entrusts 'Pledge Management' to Citizens... Recruitment for 4th Committee Members
15 Citizen Committee Members and 3 Student Members Selected
Evaluation of Pledge Implementation Performance and Status
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Chun Changsoo) will publicly recruit 18 members (15 citizen members and 3 student members) for the 4th Citizen Pledge Management Committee from the 15th to the 26th, aiming to objectively and transparently evaluate the implementation of pledges through citizen participation.
The Pledge Management Committee will engage in activities such as evaluating the implementation status and performance of pledge projects, adjusting pledge projects, and suggesting solutions and improvements for issues arising during the implementation of pledges. The term of activity will be two years, from September 1 of this year to August 31, 2026.
To ensure representation of local residents, the Ulsan Office of Education will recruit citizen members in proportion to the population of each district and county (4 from Nam-gu, 3 each from Jung-gu, Buk-gu, and Ulju-gun, and 2 from Dong-gu). If the number of applicants exceeds the allotted quota, members will be selected through a public draw according to the assigned number per region.
If the number of student member applicants exceeds three, they will also be selected by lottery. To ensure fairness in pledge evaluation and broaden participation opportunities, only one student per school will be allowed.
Any Ulsan resident currently registered in Ulsan can apply as a citizen member. Students enrolled from 6th grade in elementary school to 1st grade in high school in the Ulsan area are eligible to apply as student members.
Applications can be submitted via email, postal mail, or in person at the Office of Education by the 26th.
The Office of Education will individually notify selected candidates by phone or email next month.
